Preparations are well under way for the 2011 IRFU Tag Rugby season. Once again the IRFU will be running Tag Rugby across the country at the venues listed below. If you are interested in taking part as a referee this year please confirm by contacting Peter Fitzgibbon at email@example.com including the following details:
- Which venues you would like to referee at
- Personal details or changes in these details (Postal address, E-mail address, phone numbers)
- This years kit will be a similar style to last year. It is supplied by Puma. Let me know if you had any issues with the sizes of last years kit and I will adjust your profile accordingly.
If you refereed tag last year you do not need to register to referee on the website. If you know of anyone who wishes to sign up to referee tag rugby for the first time then direct them towards the REFEREE section of the website www.irfutag.ie .

International referee Alan Lewis visited Ashbourne RFC to deliver his ‘Art of Refereeing’ presentation to the North East Area of the Leinster rugby referees. Over 40 referees from all over Leinster attended the meeting, Alan enthralled all present with his excellent communication style and gave good advice to all and it was clear that referees of all levels took away new skills to apply to their next match.
Refreshments were kindly provided by Ashbourne rugby club on the night, which everyone enjoyed while having the opportunity to chat to Alan after the presentation.
The North East Area of the Leinster rugby referees would like to thank Alan for a memorable presentation.

The Leinster Rugby referees are delighted to welcome Helen O Reilly as a new member. Helen O’Reilly is 35 works as a Civil Servant and lives in Ashbourne, Meath. She played rugby for 10 years. First became interested in rugby in the late 90’s after travelling in Australia and joined Ashbourne RFC when she returned in 2000. Played with Ashbourne as outside centre for 5 years, before moving to St Marys RFC in Templeogue.

It is with the deepest regret that we announce the sudden death of Denis Connolly RIP, a long standing and active member of Leinster & Connacht Rugby Referees.
